Lyssa's Seven Ways to Not Be Bored On a Long Car Ride

Hey, hey, hey! I'm back from my vacation and it was soooooooooooooo much fun! Don't forget to check out the pictures from it on my sister's blog! :) Anywho, on this trip, we did a lot of driving, ten hours there and ten hours back so I've come back with some new found knowledge that I'd like to share with you. ;)

Lyssa's Seven Ways to Not Be Bored On a Long Car Ride!


1. Read a good book--I chose Artemis Fowl


2. Watch a few movies--I watched Pride and Prejudice two times on my ipod


3. Play a game--I played Authors with my cousins


4. Listen to music--I listened to some of the old music on my ipod that I haven't listened to for a long time


5. Take a nap--That's basically what I did half the time ;)


6. Draw--I drew a teddy bear :D


7. Eat--Pringles and Cheetos, what would we do without them?

Black Friday

Okay so Katelyn and I did some Black Friday shopping yesterday and it was insane. We got up at 4:30 and headed out to Wal Mart which opened at 5:00. It was a mad house. People were whipping their new HD tvs around corners, there was a line wrapped around the electronic section to get video games, and you couldn't find a check out line with less than seven people in it--it was crazy.

Then we went to Target and everything changed. Inside the store, everything was neat and organized, you could actually find someone who worked there, and there wasn't an evil smiley face looking down at you everywhere you turned.

Yes, Wal Mart has better prices, but there's also a better chance that you'll get attacked by someone who wants your copy of Guitar Hero for twenty dollars cheaper. Especially on Black Friday, it can be a little scary. ;)

So yeah, it was insane but we got a lot of good deals and it was a lot of fun hanging out with my sister. :)

Weird Christmas Trees

It's only 38 more days until Christmas!!! Christmas is my favorite time of year and I love celebrating Jesus' birth with my family. Another thing I love about Christmas is putting up the Christmas tree. While I'm a fan of a good, old fashioned Christmas tree, I found some pretty weird Christmas trees online and I thought that I'd post them on my blog because they're that amazing. :)

Church Picnic

So fall is finally here, I love when the leaves change colors from their vivid green to the subtle colors of autumn and how you can feel the gentle whisper of winter lingering in the crisp fall air and when you can hear the soothing fall breezes play with the branches of the autumn-kissed trees....anyway, we had a picnic after church last Sunday.
